On the edge of the small central Bulgarian village of Gorsko Kalugerovo, (с.ГОРСКО КАЛУГЕРОВО) we have a fully renovated comfortable house complete with enclosed gardens, orchard and secure car parking.
The village belongs to Suhindol (СУХИНДОЛ) municipality, a well-known wine producing area, in the Veliko Turnovo district.
You're surrounded by nature, and greenery, as in most small Bulgarian villages, as all the streets and tracks through the village are tree-lined and leafy, and the boundaries of the village gradually give way to mixed farmland and vineyards.
Looking across the valley you'll see cattle, sheep and goats grazing the common pastures outside the village. You'll definitely hear their bells ringing as they return to their enclosures for the night! 
The village shop (within walking distance) offers all the basics, with freshly-baked bread, Bulgarian cured meats, sausages and traditional cheeses, as well as a good selection of local wine, imported and local spirits and beers. A selection of locally-grown seasonal fruit and vegetables is also offered. (Fantastic vegetable markets are held daily in Veliko Turnovo, and on certain days in several surrounding towns.) Also within easy walking distance is a "cafe-aperitif", on the road heading west out of the village. "Cafe Niya" offers cold beers, wine and soft drinks, as well as salads, grilled kiofte, kebapche and sausages, all served to your outside terrace table by Reneta and Graydon, who'll definitely give you a warm welcome!
